BI-PAP is a non-invasive respiratory therapy designed to provide advanced support to patients with respiratory conditions such as sleep apnea, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other breathing-related disorders. This therapy works by delivering two levels of airway pressure: a higher pressure during inhalation (IPAP) to help the patient breathe in, and a lower pressure during exhalation (EPAP) to ensure the airways remain open, preventing obstruction. This bi-level pressure setting ensures that the patient’s lungs receive the oxygen they need while reducing the effort required to breathe.
